A Time to weep…

Ecclesiastes 3:4 declares that there is “A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” But what do we do when our weeping and mourning times appear to far outnumber the laughing dancing moments?

We look to Jesus, Who, through His trials and suffering kept His eyes on the joy that lay ahead. We hold on with all we’ve got to our faith in Christ, assured that heaven — where there is no more death or mourning or crying or pain, our very tears wiped away by God — awaits those who truly follow Him, particularly in our suffering.

The above is a pre-finished rough watercolor of someone’s “good buddy,” Rocky, who recently passed away…I’m sure his owners are in the midst of their weeping time now and looking to God for comfort.

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
