The Wish

The Wish lo res

This is a watercolor I recently did of my beautiful little girl blowing out the candles on her cake at her 5th birthday.

If I could have just one wish I wouldn’t ask to have my circumstances changed (although that would be nice), but would ask to have that of others changed, namely from being “dead in their sins” to “knowing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.” Some days, in the difficulties of life, it is so very hard to get one’s mind on the eternal perspective. But once you do, there is no going back to dwelling on momentary light afflictions.

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” II Corinthians 4:17-18
